Nasawi ang isang Pilipina sa missile attack sa Haifa, Israel nitong Linggo, Abril 5, ayon sa Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) nitong Martes, Abril 7.
“The Department of Foreign Affairs expresses deep sorrow over the death of a Filipina national who was killed in a missile attack on a residence in Haifa, Israel on the evening of 05 April 2026,” saad sa pahayag ng DFA.
Nasawi rin sa pag-atake ang asawang Israeli at nakatatandang parents-in-law ng biktima.
“The Philippine Embassy in Tel Aviv has informed the family and is providing all necessary assistance, including arrangements for the earliest possible repatriation of her remains despite the current travel situation in the region.”
“The Department is also reaching out to support the family during this difficult time,” pagpapatuloy ng pahayag.
Humingi ng privacy ang pamilya ng biktima para makapagluksa.
“We join the Filipino community in praying for her eternal rest and for strength for her family during this time of profound loss,” ayon pa sa DFA.
Sa hiwalay na pahayag, nakiramay ang Embassy of the State of Israel sa Pilipinas sa pamilya ng biktima.
“Israel stands in profound solidarity with the bereaved family and the Filipino community, and shares in the grief over the loss of a Filipino life. We mourn together and honor their memory with dignity.”
Matatandaan na nasawi rin ang Filipina caregiver na si Mary Ann Velasquez De Vera sa Israel dahil sa giyera sa rehiyon.
