US green card seekers kailangan nang mag-apply mula sa home country

Kinakailangan nang bumalik sa kanilang home country ang mga indibidwal na may temporary visa at nais mag-apply ng green card sa Estados Unidos para sa consular processing.
Ayon kay Zach Kahler, tagapagsalita ng US Citizenship and Immigration Services, ito ay maliban na lamang sa “extraordinary circumstances”.
“When aliens apply from their home country, it reduces the need for enforcement against those who might remain in the shadows,” ani Kahler sa isang pahayag.
Iginiit din niya na ang US immigration system ay idinisenyo para sa mga indibidwal na nasa temporary visa, tulad ng mga estudyante at pansamantalang manggagawa, na inaasahang uuwi matapos ang kanilang itinakdang pananatili.
“This policy change will enable the State Department to manage these cases more efficiently at consular offices abroad, allowing USCIS to allocate its resources to other critical areas, including visas for victims of crime and naturalization applications,” dagdag pa niya.
