CASHLESS TOLL DISKARIL

KINATIGAN ni Senador Grace Poe ang kautusan ni Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Vince Dizon sa Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) na suspendihin ang implementasyon ng f cashless toll collection sa lahat ng expressways.
“The new DOTr secretary is heading in the right direction when he suspended the roll out of the full cashless payment on expressways,” ayon kay Poe matapos maitalaga si Dizon sa DOTr.
“The no-cash scheme is ideal, but it cannot be imposed until operators can guarantee that all defects in the system are fixed, such as malfunctioning booms, unreadable stickers and broken RFIDs,” dagdag ng senador na dating chairman ng Senate committee on public services.
Sinabi ni Poe na dapat may alternatibong pamamaraan ang motorista na magbayad ng cash sa oras na kakaibang pangyayari.
Aniya, hindi pa natutugunan ng operator ng expressways ang ilang isyung bumabalot sa electronic toll collection at operation, na nagsisilbing parusa ang no-cash system sa motorista.
Bukod dito, sinabi pa ni Poe na may parusa sa ilang paglabag sa kabila ng mga problema na kinahaharap ng RFID system ng tollways.
“Kapag wala kang RFID meron ka agad P1,000 na multa for the first offense, tapos 2,000 for second, tapos 2,500 tuwing may offense ka, eh hindi naman lahat makakuha ng RFID ka agad-agad,” pahayag ng senador.
